She lives with her daughter but has been home alone when my Aunt runs to the store and things but that’s no longer going to be an option for her. Shes old enough now that we no longer feel she should be left alone for any time at all. She hasn’t been fond of rehab food and with her being blind it’s just been an uncomfortable time for her. She’s being released this Wednesday and’s thrilled to be going home. She had a rough time after the back surgery in the hospital but was sent to a rehab for just under 3 weeks. Of all things she was moving the dining room table and chairs so she could swap out the area rug under the table and took a spill. It’s not like I can give them all away, not everyone has my style or want’s one of my amateur paintings, lol.įor those of you who have been asking on my IG account about Grama Red, here’s the update: To back peddle just a bit for those of you who don’t know My 99 year old Grama fell and broke her back. Maybe I should do 3 others in the rest of the season and I could swap them out as need be. If I could find a spot I’d be painting more often, I really enjoyed myself but what do I do with paintings and no where to put them? I wish I had more places to hang artwork around the cabin. I had to tell them that my first attempt will also look like my last attempt because this is the primitive look I was going for, it’s just my jam. I shared it on my FB page and I had someone say it wasn’t bad for my first attempt and I would get better with time. I know it’s not perfect by any means but it suits my style just fine. It was the perfect thing to do for myself and I smile every time I walk by it. The whole thing took me less than 30 minutes to do and I love it. So of course and old rustic barn was it! I first sketched it in pencil on the canvas and then started painting. I wanted something that could hang in the cabin all winter long and still fit in with my style and color scheme. It’s something I’ve been trying to find the time to do for over 6 months and the other night I told myself no matter what comes up I’m going to find the time to paint. My life has been so busy and extremely stressful these last few months that I wanted to take a little “Me” time and try my hand at painting. I’m no artist as you can all see, but I can see something I like and replicated it. RUSTIC WINTER BARN SCENE PAINTING DONE WITH ACRYLICS!
